Our professional development team works collaboratively with schools and districts to deliver professional development services of varying length of time, specificity, and price to design the service that best meets their needs. Generally, our work process includes the following steps:
- The professional development program is mapped and backwards planned based on time and availability.
- Outcomes are broken down into clear learning objectives.
- The clear learning objectives are then broken down into specific skills.
- Specific learning activities support the development of skills and making connections.
- Modeling and guided practice help leaders internalize the process as well as practice implementation.
- Coaching enables leaders to utilize within multiple contexts specific to their core values and their organizations’ culture and climate.
Within sessions, leaders have the chance to work in both small and large groups, actively engage with the content of the session, and provide feedback on the session. Input is reviewed and any revisions needed are made before the next session. Our facilitators are available for questions, discussions, and updates.
